Three Must Start Players for Week 12 of Fantasy Football

Week 12 of the NFL season is shaping up to be quite exciting, with some big matchups and crucial player injuries that could shift the landscape for your fantasy team. Be sure to check your lineups and consider the following players, who could surprise you by being key components for a successful week. So, without further ado, let’s get into who I believe are three must-start players for Week 12.

1. Denver Broncos - QB Bo Nix

Bo Nix has been extremely promising in his rookie season and has continued to improve with each passing week. This week, Denver heads to Las Vegas to play the struggling Raiders in a rematch from Week 5 of this season. In the teams' first meeting, Bo had his first multi-touchdown game, posting 206 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown. Entering Week 12, Nix has improved significantly, and so has the Broncos' offense because of it. Last week, the rookie tossed four touchdown passes in a win against the Falcons, effectively marking the performance as the best of his young career. I fully expect the Broncos' rookie to continue to build on this dominant performance against an AFC West rival.

2. Washington Commanders - RB Brian Robinson

Robinson has been a key component of Washington’s success this year, with his physical running style coming up huge in short yardage situations. That said, it's not as if Robinson isn’t capable of breaking off some good runs down the field. Washington hosts the Cowboys this Sunday in a game that should see the Commanders feature the run game heavily. Dallas has struggled to stop the run this season, which was evident in last week's loss to the Texans. Houston’s running back, Joe Mixon, was able to break off a handful of big runs in a game where he reached the end zone three times. Robinson will be featured in goal-line situations should Washington get the ball inside the ten-yard line. I fully expect him to score at least one touchdown in what should be a significant Commanders victory.

3. Houston Texans - WR Nico Collins

Nico is entering his second game since returning from injury, and he should be further acclimated to the speed of the game after missing four contests. Nico is easily one of the most dynamic playmakers in the NFL when healthy, and his connection with C.J. Stroud is among the most dangerous in the league. Last week, he was only featured on 47% of snaps, a number that will surely rise with another week of recovery under his belt. Despite playing less than 50% of snaps, Collins was still able to register four catches on seven targets. I see Nico possibly reaching double-digit marks in catches in a highly anticipated divisional matchup against the Titans.
