Miami Dolphins Look to Keep Rising Under Head Coach Mike McDaniel

The Miami Dolphins have entered a new era under head coach Mike McDaniel. McDaniel is a rising star in the coaching ranks and made an immediate impact on the team by bringing new energy and excitement to the Dolphins.

McDaniel has a reputation for being an offensive mastermind. He was the offensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers in 2021, and he helped lead the 49ers to a 10-7 record. McDaniel has already been able to use his creativity and innovation to help the Dolphins become a more explosive offense. We saw the potential of what the Dolphins could be last year with Tua Tagovailoa throwing for 25 touchdowns and an over 105 passer rating. 

The Dolphins also have a number of talented players on their roster to help surround Tua. Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is one of the most exciting young receivers in the NFL, and he is expected to progress even more entering his third season. Jaylen had over 1300 yards along with 8 touchdowns and has helped form a great 1-2 punch with teammate Tyreek Hill.  Tyreek, after leaving Kansas City, was supposed to see a dip in his production but instead ended up having a career year.  With over 1700 yards and 7 touchdowns, Tyreek was one of the best receivers in the league this year and was a finalist for the Offensive Player of the Year. Entering his second year with the Dolphins, Tyreek will look to continue to build his chemistry with Tua to help this Dolphin's offense out even more. 

On the defensive side of the ball, Miami also added superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey to help fill out this already-talented roster. 

The Dolphins are not expected to necessarily be a contender for a Super Bowl in 2023, but they are expected to be a very good team that can go on a deep playoff run if the puzzle pieces fall right. McDaniel is a rising star in the coaching ranks, and he has a number of talented players on his roster. The Dolphins are entering a new era, and they are expected to be a force in the AFC in the years to come.
