Three Must-Start Players for Fantasy Week 6
Another week of the NFL season has come and gone, and suddenly, we find ourselves in Week 6. The first five weeks have flown by, and during that time, we’ve seen numerous players rise and fall in the fantasy football landscape. Whether due to injuries, unfavorable circumstances, or simply poor play, some usual fantasy mainstays have disappointed. As we head into this week, I’ve identified three players poised for a big performance who should be on your radar for your fantasy lineup.
Number One: RB Tyrone Tracy, New York Giants
Tracy made headlines last week with an explosive performance against the Seahawks in Seattle, rushing for 129 yards on just 18 carries. He filled in for the injured Devin Singletary, who usually starts for the Giants when healthy. With Singletary out again this week, Tracy is set for another big opportunity. Adding to his appeal, the Giants face the Cincinnati Bengals, who currently rank among the worst teams at defending the run, allowing an average of 151 rushing yards per game. Tracy should be in line for another productive outing.
Number Two: WR Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers
Reed has solidified himself as the Packers' number one target, building a strong connection with quarterback Jordan Love over the past two seasons. The second-year wideout has continued his dominant play this year, currently ranking as the fifth-highest WR in PPR leagues. This week, Reed faces the Arizona Cardinals, a team allowing an average of 26 points per game and struggling to contain both the run and top receivers. With notable WRs like Terry McLaurin and Amon-Ra St. Brown having big games against Arizona, expect Reed to continue his strong fantasy output in this matchup.
Number Three: WR Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons
Mooney has always been a playmaker, dating back to his days with the Chicago Bears. Now with Atlanta, he’s developed a strong connection with quarterback Kirk Cousins. Over the last three weeks, Mooney has seen eight or more targets twice, including a breakout 100-yard, two-touchdown performance last week. This week, the Falcons face a struggling Carolina Panthers defense that’s allowing 226 passing yards per game. With a weak secondary to exploit, Cousins and Mooney could have another big day in store.
