Vikings Season Ends in Wild Card Game

Well, after all the great things that happened this season, the Vikings lost to the New York Giants 31-24 in the first round of the playoffs.

Minnesota got off to a great start with an opening drive touchdown, but the defense once again continued to look sloppy. They let Daniel Jones run out of the pocket and throw any where he wanted. The ends made no adjustments and were just terrible this whole season. Kendricks and Hicks looked lost in coverage all day. This team just couldn't get it together and did not deserve to win.

The Vikings team now faces a lot of questions heading into the offseason. They have a lot of old defensive players that just don’t look good anymore. And with Kirk Cousins having one more year left in his deal, what do you do there?

While this end to the season is very upsetting now, this was still one of my favorite Vikings seasons of all time.  I was there for two home games, including the first home game and win against Green Bay and the Thanksgiving win against the Patriots. I was finally able to soak in the Vikings team spirit with other fans at the stadium and toured the city of Minneapolis twice this year, all of which was awesome.

We now look ahead to changes at coaching (defensive coordinator), free agency, and the draft to help improve this team.
