Adams Makes Big-Time Remarks Regarding the Raiders
It goes without saying just how talented Wide Receiver Davante Adams is as a player. The former Packer and current Las Vegas Raider is undoubtedly one of the best WRs of the past decade and remains one of the premier weapons in the NFL. Recently, Adams has been a hot topic of discussion as he was one of the players featured on Netflix’s new series “Receiver.” Throughout the show, clips of Adams mic’d up during games have gone viral on social media, showing the veteran WR voicing his frustrations. Adams was recorded saying, “I gotta get the f*** out of here. They're going to get me killed. I’ve never been hit like this in my career.” Clearly, this is in response to the subpar quarterback play Adams has endured since joining the Raiders in 2022. It would be foolish to think Adams is wrong for feeling this way, especially when fans share a similar outlook on the Raiders' offense.
This statement made the rounds on social media, sparking numerous rumors about the future of Adams' career. Since Adams' departure from Green Bay, he’s been frequently linked to his former teammate and future Hall of Fame QB Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets. Multiple times, the two have hinted that they would love a reunion, as they were one of the most dynamic duos of the mid to late 2010s. Recently, Adams took to the mic again to voice his approval of this possibility while on Hall of Fame Tight End Shannon Sharpe's podcast, “Club Shay Shay.” When asked about the possibility of leaving the Raiders, he immediately responded with, “If I were to be reunited with anybody, it would be Aaron, or to be relocated anywhere, it would be with Aaron.” Clearly, the All-Pro isn’t mincing words about where he would like to be. Although he can say he is happy in Vegas, how much longer will that last if team success isn’t present?
Talks of Adams being traded will continue to circulate as we inch closer to the beginning of the season. One thing is for certain: there is mutual interest between Adams and Rodgers, and a reunion shouldn’t be considered a long shot.
