Falcons Tight End Kyle Pitts to be Used at WR and TE

Falcons Tight End Kyle Pitts is a unique physical specimen with the potential to be one of the league's best offensive players. At nearly 6’6” and 245 lbs, Pitts is a massive target, but his 4.44 speed makes him a real threat for NFL defenses. Despite being undeniably one of the best pure athletes in the NFL, Atlanta has struggled to maximize the potential of their young tight end. With a new regime at the helm this season, it seems the plan is to have Pitts play both TE and WR.

After a tremendous rookie season, in which he recorded over 1,000 yards with 68 catches, Pitts has yet to rekindle that type of success on the field, accumulating 1,023 yards and five touchdowns over the past two seasons. Injuries and underwhelming quarterback play have played a factor, but it's still shocking how little he's been featured in the Falcons' game plan. His six total touchdowns in his career are truly a head-scratcher, as someone so physically gifted should be an elite red zone threat. Atlanta has thus far failed to properly utilize Pitts' talents, and it shows on tape. With Pitts being rumored to be featured at WR, it should open up a plethora of opportunities for him.
