Vikings Improve to 7-1

Another ugly game, but another Vikings win as they improve to a 7-1 record on the season. The game started off great with an opening drive touchdown and a 7-0 lead but then things quickly fell apart. The offense couldn’t get anything going as they looked lost, and it quickly became a low scoring game as it was only 7-3 at halftime. However, the second half is when it got even uglier as what would have been an interception for the Vikings turned into a horrible play. The ref actually tackled the Vikings’ safety, prevented him from getting an interception, and the play resulted in a Washington touchdown.

The Vikings offense continued to produce nothing as they were once again shut out in the third quarter. Then another Washington touchdown gave them a 17-7 lead. Mid way through the 4th, the offense was able to get a field goal and then the defense followed up with a Vikings interception that gave them the ball in Washington territory. A pass to Dalvin Cook tied the game up in a matter of minutes. Clutch defense stops gave the Vikings another chance. Big 3rd down conversions allowed the Vikings to run all but 12 second off the clock, just enough time for a game-winning field goal.

Now 7-1, this team travels to Buffalo to face its biggest test of the year and we will see what this team is made of.
