Vikings Win Ugly Again

After another Sunday of football the Vikings come out on top and now sit with a 5-1 record heading into their bye week. It wasn’t the prettiest of starts as the Vikings didn’t get a single first down on their first four drives of the game, but credit to the defense as they only allowed the Dolphins to score 3 points in the first half. However, towards the end of the half the Vikings managed a 75-yard drive that scored in a touchdown. Then the Vikings would build a 16-3 lead and then a 24-10 lead with a Dalvin Cook 53-yard touchdown run. They would end up winning 24-16.

Some major keys were the defense getting pressure, which was crucial and made the defense much more effective in the game. Offense for sure wasn’t getting the job done but had crucial drives that allowed them to be in front most of the game. The offensive line struggled, receivers didn’t seem to be getting open, and the play calls did not look good. The bye will give them some time to adjust for the mistakes they have made over the first 6 weeks and improve.

While it isn’t the best performance, the Vikings are getting the job done. As better competition approaches, though, it will be important for this team to play better football.
